About The Club
The Bath and County Club was originally established as a gentlemen's club in 1858, but now ladies also enjoy full membership. The Club is located in the centre of Bath. Nearby are all the noted historic sites including the Roman Baths and the Royal Crescent, the Theatre Royal and the main shopping facilities.
We are approximately 100 miles from London. Our membership is drawn from a variety of professions, executives from local businesses, members of the defence and civil services, including a very active retired membership. Local, Country, Overseas Memberships are available – and a discounted introductory rate is offered to enable people to try the Club before committing themselves further.
We have an excellent restaurant, sociable lounge bar with newspaper and magazines, restful library, TV and other function rooms. The lounge bar is the main meeting place for members and their guests. It is a pleasant room where bar meals and snacks can be enjoyed. A good selection of wines, spirits and beers is always available.
The Club organises many functions ranging from formal dinners with notable speakers, monthly lunches with a guest speaker, French classes, films, Bridge, and visits to local events such as the Bath and West Show, theatre visits, Bath Races, Polo etc.
