Catering facilities

The Club's 57-seat Dining Room is the main focus of  its extensive catering facilities  which are now provided by Eat5Star catering organisation. The varied menus feature modern and traditional British and International dishes - always with fresh ingredients. The Club's Wine List is very competitively priced and can be seen in the Bar.

Lunch

A very competitively priced and delicious informal Lunch, for which there is no need to book in advance, or for gentlemen to wear jackets and ties, is served from Tuesday to Friday from 12 until 2pm. On one Friday each month a Literary Lunch is held, led by a  Member or a guest speaker; details are in the Events list

On Wednesdays the very popular "Boys" Lunch - the only weekly male-only event held at the Club, begins at about 12.30, with drinks iin the York Room, before moving into the Dining Room. Jackets and ties are required and Members lucky enough to be celebrating an adjacent Birthday treat the others to a round or two of Port. The "Boys" also enjoy one or two Black-Tie Dinners each year.

"Blind" Wine Tasting Lunches are held every month. Our Wine Member, David Wynne-Griffiths, takes particular pride in our wines, which he carefully selects from local wine merchants and the famous Bibendums of London.

Monthly Sunday Luncheons are based around a succulent Carvery, followed by irresistible desserts or cheese, plus coffee. Wines at Club prices complete a traditional Sunday event.

Every other nonth, an informal Sunday Roast is served once a month from 11am to 1pm. Dress informally, relax over your own Sunday papers  and tuck in to a traditional lunch of roasted meats and vegitables treats. Dates are in the Weekly Bulletin and on the Club Noticeboard.

Except for the Boys' and daily Lunches, dates for all of the above are listed under Events and require reservations via our Secretary.

Evening Dining

Supper is provided regularly on Wednesdays led by Bridge players but to which all Members are welcome, on Thursdays with dishes themed with that evening's event and occasionally on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The Club holds about a dozen black-tie dinners through the year, to commemorate historic and other special days. On each occasion a distinguished Guest Speaker is attends and the menu reflects the nature of the event.

Dates for all of the above  are listed under "Events" and  require reservations via our Secretary.

Bar Snacks

Hot and cold snacks are served informally in the Lounge Bar from Monday to Friday, from 12 until 2pm.

Morning and post-Lunch coffee is available at the usual times (FREE in the mornings) and on Tuesdays all Members are welcome to join the Bridge players for tea during their break in play at 3pm.

The Bar is open to all Members and Guests from 6pm whenever Dinner or Supper is being served, whether or not they have reserved a place for the meal. All drinks are at Club Prices.
