Club Trip to Paignton - 17th August & New Train Times

The Club trip to the reciprocal Paignton Club is now to be on 17th August, not the 16th, as on the printed Calendar.  The Club building is a fine, purpose-built structure looking along the Esplanade from its Eastern-end position. It has recently finished a lavish refurbishment, including new conference facilities in the basement, all of which we shall be able to see. The train journey is particularly attractive, passing along the edge of the sea at Dawlish and Teignmouth.

We shall be making our own travel arrangements. BASICALLY, WE NOW LEAVE BATH AT 0857 arriving at Paignton at 1059, giving time to stroll (or taxi) through the town to the Club for a tour of the premises, have Lunch and LEAVE IN TIME FOR THE 1513 for Bath, arriving at 1806. More International Clubs Welcome Us

Another 42 International Clubs now welcome our Members to use their facilities on production of a Membership card, bringing our total of UK,NI and International Clubs to 108! Details can be seen under Membership - Reciprocal Clubs.

Our new Chef, David Garlick, arrived  on Sunday 13th June 2010 and has begun putting his own stamp on our menus. Do come along and sample his repertoire, which features fresh local produce and his own sumptuous desserts.

Piano-Players: Your Club Needs You !

The Club's piano needs playing!

The Club's piano will benefit from being played frequently, so Members are warmly encouraged to come in   and tinkle away at any time the Norfolk Room is not being used - preferably leaving the door open so that others can enjoy the music and perhaps be encouraged to bring in their FREE coffee, their drinks, a newspaper, or a book and take a seat. Access details and availability from the Secretary.
